We are so glad you’re here. This little space is precious to us and we hope that you enjoy your stay. Below is a guide to help you make the best use of Costilla House.
Parking & Door Access
Guest parking is labeled and located on the far left side of the house driveway. Please ensure the garage is not blocked. Access to the apartment is also located through the fence located left of the garage. You will receive a front door code that can be input directly into the keypad for access. To lock the door from the outside, simply press the top-middle button, and turn the lock clockwise.
Wifi & Electronics
The Wifi is Casa Carey and the password is located on the QR code stand. The smart TV gives you access to guest accounts for Netflix, Peacock, and Disney+ streaming services. You will need to provide your own login credentials for any other streaming service (please make sure to log out of your account when you are finished). Lastly, the fireplace can be operated directly or by remote. You can use it to help heat the space or without heat for a little ambiance.
Bedding & Linens
The King bed will be made up for you upon your arrival. If you need to use the pullout couch, there are extra linens and pillows in the baskets (in the living room). Towels are located in the bathroom shelving unit. If at any time, you need extra towels, sheets, or blankets, please notify Joshua or Emily through the Airbnb app and they will be happy to assist you.
Heating & Air Conditioning
The furnace can be controlled with the Google Home thermostat near the kitchenette on the north wall. The air conditioning is controlled separately. There is a swamp cooler dedicated to the space that can be controlled from the thermostat near the TV on the south wall. Please do not run the furnace and the swamp cooler at the same time.
Quiet Hours
Costilla House is located in a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood. Quiet hours begin promptly at 10 pm every night. Please be respectful to our neighbors by ensuring that any music or other sound is not inordinately loud.
Games
We hope you love to play games as much as we do! They are an essential part of any family vacation. You’ll find a variety of games offered as part of our growing collection and we hope you enjoy them. For guests who want to try their hand at a game of darts, we have to point out that these darts are sharp and participants play at their own risk.
Checklist for Checking Out

There are two bins located near the guest entrance. One is for recycling and the other is for trash. Please place the inside trash bag and any recyclables into their corresponding bins before leaving.

Ensure all used plates, glassware, mugs, and bowls are cleaned and put in the drying rack or back where you found them.

Take any sheets used from the bed or the sofa bed off and place in a pile on the floor.

If you logged into any of your streaming accounts, please be sure to log out.

Have you checked under the bed, in the shower, or under the bathroom sink? Make sure you haven’t left any of your valuables behind (including your phone charger).
